GDW Rhodius KMS is a traditional German company that has been part of the Gerard Daniel Worldwide (GDW) Group since 2024. This merger combines nearly 100 years of German engineering expertise from Rhodius with the global sales and manufacturing strength of Gerard Daniel. Together, we form one of the world's leading providers of wire mesh, knitted mesh, and filtration solutions.
What does the company specialize in?
Our core business is divided into three main areas:
- Technical Knitted Mesh: Development and manufacturing of wire mesh for seals, damping, and filters.
- Separation Technology: Construction of demisters and coalescers for the process industry.
- Pressed Parts: Production of sound and vibration dampers.
- Woven Wire Mesh: Manufacturing, assembly, and trading of wire cloth mats and fully assembled components through our colleagues at Gerard Daniel.

The headquarters and technological heart of GDW Rhodius KMS are located in Weißenburg, Bavaria (Germany). Development, engineering, and a large part of the manufacturing take place here. However, as part of Gerard Daniel, we possess a global network with additional locations and warehousing capacities in North America (USA, Canada), Europe (Ireland), and Asia. This guarantees short delivery routes and local contacts for our international customers.

How long has Rhodius been in business?
The company's roots go back to the year 1925, when Max Rhodius founded the firm in Weißenburg. An important milestone was the year 1970 with the launch of the "kms" (Knitted Mesh and Separation) division, which focused on wire knitted mesh. With the integration into the Gerard Daniel Group in 2024, we have opened the next chapter of our company history to remain internationally competitive and innovative in the future.
